From SK Carl J. Niedzwiecki (Cathedral Assembly 3298):
A lot of friends are calling and asking how Catherine (Carl's wife) is doing. She still is at home hospice with pain meds getting stronger as the pain worsens. She wants to help do things, but is too weak to even get out of bed, especially with a catheter and auto med feeder attached to her body. She enjoys company and enjoys very short conversations on the phone. Tonight, she finally asked God to take her to heaven. With all the medication, she is very confused at times. On a bright note, she still has her sense of humor. Please keep the prayers coming. She cannot eat and is on liquids only, and only when she asks for them. (Water and tea. Tonight she wanted coffee which I gave her decaf of course.)
God Bless all of you and thank you very much for all your prayers and cards. Nothing has gone unnoticed.)
