Notice of Matthew Bagasevich District Warden Passing  (1997-2023)

July 4, 2023

Worthy Dignitaries, District Staff Members, Faithful Navigators, Faithful Comptrollers, Color Corps Members, and Sir Knights All,

It is with deep sadness and heavy hearts that we inform you of the death of our Brother, Sir Knight, and friend Matthew Bagasevich, who passed away earlier today unexpectedly at the age of 26.

As many of you know, Matthew served as District Warden for the Pennsylvania Central District and was an amazing asset to that duty and others he performed in the District. Matthew also served as Grand Knight of Council 12572, Faithful Scribe, and Deputy Color Corps Commander of Assembly 938 and chaired many committees for Council and Assembly fundraisers.

Matthew always considered his work in the Knights of Columbus a vocation and was proud to serve in all his capacities. He always believed in the Knights of Columbus's mission and was deeply dedicated to our principles of Charity, Unity, Fraternity, and Patriotism.

We will miss our brother Matthew more than words can express to many of us; he was more than just a Knight but a true friend indeed.

Today I ask that you pray for his soul that through the mercy of God, he may hear what we all long to hear "Well done, thou good and faithful servant.
