After receiving valuable feedback from our dedicated Color Corps members, in collaboration with our Diocesan Bishops, Marshals, and District Leadership, we are thrilled to announce an exciting opportunity for Color Corps training in the Allentown Diocese!
This comprehensive training session will take place at St. Thomas More (1040 Flexer Ave, Allentown, PA 18103), and we invite all Color Corps members, those considering joining the Color Corps, and leaders in the Fourth Degree to participate.
We are pleased to announce that Former District Marshal & Color Corps Training Warden for the Pennsylvania Central District, Martin Sowa, will be instructing this event! Martin's experience and leadership are second to none, and his expertise will ensure an engaging and enriching experience for all attendees. He will be joined by our District Marshal Allan Raffay, Deputy District Marshal Christopher Hope, and our dedicated Associate District Marshals, all of whom bring a wealth of knowledge and passion for the Color Corps to this event.
In addition to the valuable hands-on experience, this training will emphasize the inherent dignity and importance of the Color Corps’ work. As members of this prestigious organization, we must be profoundly aware of the significance of our duties and the honor with which we serve. It is crucial that we not only understand the intricacies of the Color Corps’ responsibilities but also remain incredibly familiar with the policies and procedures that govern our actions. Proper knowledge of these guidelines ensures that every moment we stand in service is executed with elegance, precision, and reverence, reflecting the true spirit of our Order and faith.
This training is strongly recommended for all, including those who have served in the Color Corps for many years. With ongoing changes in procedures and updates to policies, even seasoned members will benefit from refreshing their knowledge and refining their skills.
Additionally, I am pleased to announce that those attending this District Color Corps Training, or the one to follow in Scranton (May 2025), will receive Certification Cards. This certification serves as a recognition of your commitment to excellence and ensures that you are up-to-date with the current standards and practices of the Color Corps in the Pennsylvania Central District.
Whether you're an experienced Color Corps member, a Third Degree Knight eager to learn more, or a leader looking to deepen your understanding, this training is designed to equip you with the skills, knowledge, and proper conduct needed to serve with excellence. We encourage all who are interested to attend and take part in this empowering event!
We look forward to seeing you there as we continue to build strength, camaraderie, and commitment in service to our faith.
